The opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the Role and Significance of Forensic Expert Activity and Forensic Expertology in Ensuring National Security took place in Minsk 19 october 2023

The opening of the two-day International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role and Significance of Forensic Expert Activity and Forensic Expertology in Ensuring National Security” took place in Minsk today. This event was organized by the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee and was also dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus.





Representatives of the State Forensic Examination Committee, the State Secretariat of the Security Council, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, the representative office of the Standing Committee of the Union State in Minsk, the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and also representatives of the scientific and expert community of Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan took part in the solemn ceremony of the event.







“Forensic expert activity in Belarus continues to improve. Due to the development of scientific and technological progress new types of examinations appear, traditional ones are being modified, modern methods and technologies are being introduced, requirements for the qualification of forensic experts are increasing, which generally contributes to the growth of the quality of examinations. Education and constantly professional development of a forensic expert, interagency and international exchange of scientific and practical experience play an important role in this”, was indicated in the welcoming speech of the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee and was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Alexander Lashin to all participants of the Conference during the opening ceremony.

The planned thematic sections for two days include presentations on various expert areas. The participants will discuss relevant issues related to the conduct of various types of examinations.

Also within the framework of the Conference a competition of scientific works «Tribune of a young scientist» will be held in order to attract young people to carry out scientific research on topical issues of forensic examination.

This even will allow to discuss relevant issues in the field of forensic expert activity and forensic expertology. During the discussions participants will be able to find possible ways to solve these issues and also to exchange views on ways to implement them in practice.
