The delegation of the State Committee took part in the IX All-Russian Congress of forensic medical professionals with international participation “Forensic medical science and expert practice: tasks and ways of improvement at the present stage” in Moscow from November 22 to 24.

The representatives of the State Committee listened to the introductory speech of the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Andrey Plutnitsky and the speech of the Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Russian Center of Forensic Medical Expertise” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation the main non-staff forensic medical examination specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Igor Makarov on the topic “The forensic medical expert service of the country in the implementation of regular tasks and operational challenges of our time” at the opening ceremony and plenary meeting of the Congress on November 22.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Complex Forensic Medical Examinations of the Central Office of the State Committee Sergey Khwasko with the report “The practice of involving clinical specialists in the Republic of Belarus when conducting examinations on improper performance of professional duties by medical workers on the example of examinations requiring assessment of the results of radiation diagnostics” and the Head of the Scientific Research Laboratory of Forensic Medical and Psychiatric Research of the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Zakharovich with the report “Actual problems of conducting a forensic medical examination of bodily injuries of individuals in case of damage of the ligamentous apparatus of the cervical spine in the Republic of Belarus” spoke at the breakout sessions on November 23 and 24 within the II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Professional offenses of medical workers: expert practice and unresolved medical and legal issues”.


The reports of the representatives of the State Committee caused a lively discussion and genuine interest among the participants of the Congress and were highly appreciated by the presidium and forensic medical colleagues.

During the Congress the delegation of the State Committee exchanged experience, discussed actual directions of cooperation, prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation of forensic medical experts of Belarus and Russia with the scientific community and representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
